IMPORTANT: NOT SUPPORTED ON ALL NET TERMS PROGRAMS
Not all Net Terms programs provide a mobile app solution or the ability to share your buyer code with another team member. If you are unsure if your program supports this feature, please contact Program Support at the email or phone number provided at the bottom of this page.
What is a shared buyer code or runner code?
A “shared buyer code” or “runner code” is a mobile app feature that allows an authorized user (someone with an active Net Terms user account) to temporarily authorize someone else to purchase on their behalf.
How is a buyer code shared?
To share a buyer code, the authorized user signs in to the mobile app, selects the shopping cart icon on their mobile app home page, and then selects the “Share Code” button beneath the barcode on the Buyer Code page. Next, they will provide the name, phone number, and an optional approval limit on the Share Code page of the mobile app. Once the authorized user selects “Share Code”, a text message will be sent to the provided phone number with an 8-digit code.

How does a runner purchase with a shared buyer code?
The recipient will provide the 8-digit code to the cashier at checkout. The cashier will verify if the code is valid and check the purchaser's ID to ensure the code is being used by the intended recipient.
Why is a shared buyer code helpful?
How is the shared buyer code secure?
- Shared through a 2FA-enforced app
- One-time use code
- Expires after 8 hours
- Optional approval limit set by the sharer to limit the runner's access to the full credit line
- 2FA at checkout: the runner's ID must match the name provided on the shared buyer code
