To use direct debit as your payment method is EU countries, it is required that a bank mandate be registered to verify the creditor (us) has permission to debit the funds for your bank account on each due date.
Direct Debit Paper Mandate - SEPA Countries
In most SEPA countries, a paper bank mandate is required to be registered to enable direct debit on your account. Follow the below steps to complete the bank mandate registration process while adding a bank account to your program business account.
- Navigate to the Payment Methods page under the Admin Settings and select “Add Bank Account”.
- Enter your bank details in Step 1 of the Add Bank Account form.
- On Step 2, select “Set Up Direct Debit” to be redirected to our partner, Twikey’s, website to continue to the mandate registration process.
- Confirm the banking details in the Twikey portal.
- Twikey will inform you that in order to register your mandate, you must proceed with the paper mandate registration process.
- Twikey will send an email to the user with the directions on how to register a paper mandate and provide a copy of the mandate registration form.
- Once completed, send the bank mandate to your bank to be registered.
- Once you have confirmation and documentation of the valid, registered mandate, you will need to upload the mandate to the Twikey portal.
- Use the upload link provided in the paper registration directions email from Twikey to access the Twikey portal.
- You must upload a PDF copy of the mandate.
- The TreviPay Customer Support team will review the uploaded mandate.
- If approved, the bank account will be added to Bank Account page in the customer portal and direct debit will be enabled on your account. An email will be sent to Admins and Payers informing them of the successful direct debit enrollment.
- If declined, an email will be sent to Admins and Payers informing them of the unsuccessful direct debit enrollment. You will need to reinitiate the mandate registration process in the customer portal.

Note: Direct Debit is not supported in Switzerland or Poland at this point in time. Belgium customers will follow a similar process, but can complete their mandate registration digitally through Twikey.
