Coming March 2024
If you have an AP team or user responsible for managing payments on multiple business accounts within the same seller program, the Payer role can be added to more than one business account. IMPORTANT: This is only supported for users with a Payer role!
Payers associated with more than one business account will only need to manage a single login for all accounts.
Verify Payer Role
To verify if a user is in a Payer role, navigate to your Admin Settings / Users page, select the Edit pencil icon of the user, and then navigate to the Group & Role subpage.

Invite Payer to Additional Business Accounts
To invite the existing Payer to another business account, the Account Admin of the other business account will invite the Payer user like normal from the Invite New User workflow on the Users page under Admin Settings.
When the duplicate Payer user's email is input, a warning message will inform the inviter that this user can only be added as a Payer role since they are already associated to another business account.

Once the invitation is sent, the Payer user will receive an email notification that they have been added to another business account.
Managing Multiple Accounts as a Payer
The Payer user will only have one login for all business accounts they are associated with.
Once logged in, the Payer user will see a dropdown in the upper left-hand corner of their navigation menu. This is how the Payer user will navigate between all of their associated business accounts.
If the customer account has a trading name, the trading name will be displayed as the primary account name with the legal name displayed below it since some related customer accounts may have the same legal name, but different trading names. (See image below)

Settings for a Payer with Multiple Accounts
While associated to multiple business accounts, the role of the Payer user can never be changed from a Payer role to another role.
The initial business account associated to the Payer user is considered to be a “parent user account”. Since the Payer user manages a single login, any changes to the Security settings of the Payer user can only be completed under the Profile settings of the “parent user account”. This information will be displayed on the Security settings page.
Similarly, suspending the user account of the “parent user account” will suspended the user accounts for all associated business accounts for the Payer user.
Account Admins will be unable to deactivate the “parent user account” of the Payer user while there are other associated business accounts to the Payer user. If this account needs to be deactivated, please contact Program Support for assistance.
